Groundwork
How deep?
For a standard driveway, we excavate to 250 mm and install 150 mm of compacted Type 1. A 100 mm excavation suits a light-use patio, not a vehicle driveway.

Who removes the spoil?
We include spoil removal in the price. It is often omitted from low quotes, then added later.
Drainage
Where does the water go?
We use a permeable build-up or a linear drain to a soakaway, depending on the site. Drainage should be agreed before work begins.
