Block Paving.
From £95/m²
Herringbone that stays put.
A 90° herringbone pattern handles the twisting force of cars turning on a driveway. It is more secure than stretcher bond for vehicle areas. We lay clay or concrete blocks on 50 mm of grit sand over 150 mm of compacted Type 1, with every edge haunched in concrete.
Best for: full driveways, parking bays, anything a vehicle turns on. Available in charcoal, brindle and buff.

Resin Bound.
From £110/m²
A smooth, permeable finish.
Resin-bound surfacing lets water drain through the finish. On a suitable permeable base, it can avoid the need for a separate soakaway and may not need planning permission for a front drive. The base still needs careful preparation.
Best for: smooth, joint-free finishes, wheelchair and pushchair access, drives that puddle now.

Patios & Stone.
From £120/m²
A full mortar bed, not five blobs.
Spot-bedding uses five dabs of mortar under each slab. It can leave slabs unsupported, causing movement, cracks and staining. We lay every slab on a full wet mortar bed, with primer slurry on the back and falls at 1:80 away from the house.
Best for: porcelain, Indian sandstone, Yorkshire riven and granite. Sealed or unsealed.

Tarmac & Kerbs.
From £70/m²
Two hot-laid layers.
We lay a 60 mm binder course and a 25 mm wearing course, both rolled while hot. A single cold layer may look fine at first but can break down at the edges. We can also apply for and install dropped kerbs to Devon County Council specification, including the licence paperwork.
Best for: long drives, farm tracks, budget-conscious resurfacing, vehicle crossings.
